#FreeYengLee! Yeng Lee (known as Lee) is a Hmong Refugee who was wrongfully sentenced to life without parole (LWOP) for a crime he did not commit. On May 17th, Lee was exonerated of murder and ordered released by a judge. Despite not being deportable, CDCr still plans to turn him over to ICE for deportation. Lee has served over 23 inside CDCr, completed everything that was asked of him by the state, and became a leader inside San Quentin. Join the #FreeYengLee movement with the tool kit here.
